The benefits of having two weeks off before the Grand Final was clearly evident in Towns stirring victory. Their fans must have no fingernails left as Towns trailed all day, like they did in the 2nd semi, but found an avenue to goal when it was needed most, coming out victors by 13 points.
The game was played in 2 halves. Saints looked very switched on, methodical and speedy until halve time but after the long break they stopped running and Towns 'talls' began to inch back led by their Captain Brendan Butenhuis.

What a great game! Towns led all day until the 'Beach' took the lead in the last quarter and were up by 9 points with 4 minutes to go but Towns 'never say die' determination put on two late goals to just beat the siren and can now put their feet up for two weeks.
