7th August: Looma d Cable Beach

A sensational game!  One point the difference at 3/4 time and 2 points at the final siren.  Unbelievable skills!  Deromitt Wilson 7 goals to win the Mc Mahon medal for best player afield.

31st August:  Preliminary final : Looma 11.11 D Derby 9.8

Looma defeated Derby in a dour game with occasional brilliance from both sides.  Looma pulled away in the last quarter.

24th August:    First semi: Looma 24.10 (154) D Saints 7.4 (46)

Looma were totally switched on playing scintillating, play on footy to demolish Saints.  It was an awesome display!  Lyle Buck, Zephaniah Skinner and Lewis Broome were unbeatable! (J. Pindan 5 goals, L. Broome 4 goals, J. Mc Carthy 3 goals, Lyle Buck 3 goals

Second semi: Cable Beach 18.7 (115)  D Derby 9.7 (51)

Cable Beach had a clear game plan and kept to it with relentless efficiency.  Derby looked top heavy and did not have the run for the larger Haynes oval. Jo Dann, Brett Claudius and Jordon King were the engine room for a fine victory.

Reconciliation Cup - Lightning carnival kicked off on April 13th and 14th where  

Cable Beach (7.4.46) defeated the Broome Bulls (2.1.13) for the second year in a row.
